Tears

For a photography class when I was in China, I did a series of photos of a friend who turned out to be an awesome model. Among other things she randomly threw herself down onto the bed in the room and burst into fake tears. Drama queen? Yeah probably, but it was easily the best photo. I'm thinking about recreating it as a painting, but here's a preliminary sketch as well as a few other things.

Red Ribbon

Since I posted the drawing of my grandfather I've had over 150 views on the site! Thanks for checking everything out. I must have burned a lot of creative energy though, nothing interesting particularly lately, but here's a few sketches and an idea I'm working on for a potential painting.

Pencil sketches

Figure sketches with conte. There's the conte stick actually ^^^

Black & White conte and charcoal

Today I experimented with text layouts. These were done by hand, not based on a particular font.

Paper cut out playing with shapes and text.

Oh the places you'll go, but these are all the places I've been. This was the 1st time I tried this so it's kind of sloppy on the layout but it sort of unfolded naturally.

I knew I would find a way to fit politics and art together... right??

Now for something totally different: What's this you say? A lipstick perhaps?

False! It's an awesome new pencil sharpener. I just thought it was cute and the same price as the others.
